With london fashion week just around the corner, September will see London put on one of the largest fashion events to date. Designers will be arriving in the UK's capital from all over the globe in order to showcase their latest collections. With glitz and glamour expected on the runway, every fashion savvy individual will be looking to hang out in the trendiest spots in town, whilst also staying at some of the best available hotels in London.

Located in South Kensington, Somerset House will be transformed into an arena of haute-couture from 17 - 22 September. The British Fashion Council supports over 50 official catwalk shows as well as 45 off-show events and London is the perfect place for high profile brands to host their own events in one of the many eclectic neighborhoods.

The British Fashion Council has also initiated an eco-sustainable program called 'estethica', which has been running for seven seasons. It has grown from 13 designers in its first season to 30 designers currently part of the environmental initiative. Green label, From Somewhere, founder Orsola de Castro, Filippo Ricci and The British Fashion Council will co-curate this event.

Well known British designers such as Betty Jackson, Stella McCartney and Paul Smith will be showing their Spring/Summer 2011 collection on the catwalk and emerging menswear designers will be featured during the NEWGEN MEN show, sponsored by Topman, from catwalk shows to installations in and around Somerset House.

For individuals who are looking to stay close to the major shopping areas during Fashion Week, The Sanderson Hotel is just a few steps from Oxford Street. Just around the corner from Somerset House, The Kensington Hotel is an ideal place to stay if you want to be in the centre of the action.
